Artisan Wedding Cakes

Zhna (the baker) was so incredibly sweet and easy to work with! She made sure she understood exactly what we wanted before the date of the event, and even was flexible on changes we made after the initial meeting. What is also nice is that she only takes one event per weekend, so she can focus her artistic energy on just that event...and it definitely showed! The wedding and groom's cakes were delivered and set up on time, and looked fantastic! And her cakes are delicious! I totally recommend the white cake with three-berry compote/filling! Her chocolate cake w/ chocolate icing is also yummy...

I KNEW THE DAY I MET WITH THEM I WOULD BE GETTING MY CAKES HERE. THAT DAY THEY DREW WHAT MY CAKE WOUDL LOOK LIKE FOR ME ON PAPER AND HAD CAKES TO TASTE. THEY DONE EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED FOR ON BOTH CAKES. THE DELIVERED ON TIME AS PROMISED. AND THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY:)

Best wedding cake I have ever tasted. There was NONE left after our wedding! I designed my own wedding cake and they made it exaclty how I wanted it. I will be using them again for cakes. My cake was such a highlight at my reception. I was so happy with it. Try the italian cream cake flavor. yum!!!!!

I was not happy with the customer service I received. My phone calls and e-mails were not returned. I spent the months before my wedding very concerned that this vendor had taken my money and would not show with the cake on the date of the ceremony. Finally after calling numerous times I actually got someone to answer the phone and confirm the details about 2 weeks before the wedding. The cake was delivered on time. However, the vendor tried to leave before adding the cake top. She did not do an adequate job with the cake top and it fell off before the reception. She said that she would bring extra frosting to make the cake top remain on the cake, but she did not follow through. The cake was beautiful and delicious but I could have done without the grief of trying to get in touch with her.

We got married the weekend after a hurricane. Artisan Wedding cakes were without power. Most of Houston was without power. Zhna was still able to make our cake. She found a way. It was beautiful and delicious. Not even a hurricane will stop her from making your wedding cake!! That's what I call service!

They were great, the cakes looked awesome and both tasted wonderful!

Zhna (the owner and cake baker/designer) is extremely open to your ideas and very helpful. Their studio is homey, comfortable, and they have lots of ideas, which they're excited to share. We did a custom music cake, very personal, and we'd found that NO baker in Houston was willing to either 1)bake the cake well without paying less than $10/slice or 2)be open to our ideas and willing to make the cake exactly how we'd like. Zhna is extremely kind and fun to work with, and their prices are VERY REASONABLE!! We also had a replica of my husband's guitar made into the groom's cake, and it looked (and tasted...) amazing! We were so glad to work with Artisan, and plan to use them for special birthdays/anniversaries in the future. If you're looking for a great deal and no compromise on artistry or quality, call them!

I used them for my wedding. Still to today I remember that I spend over a thousand dollars on my cake and it was over an hour late. The excuse was that she had a bridal show at the George R Brown. This is why we had to open doors an hour later. She was so unprofessional when we called her she said she was around the corner and lost. I was so nervous and unable to check on it. My family had to help her assemble the cake. After a full year after my wedding I called to get the free topper that she promised and she refused to give me one. Now as a planner I never want any bride to have the same nightmare. The cake was not as good as what we had at the tasting. We received no refund or apology. Just empty promises.
