Butler's Courtyard

Butler's is AMAZING. I thought planning a wedding from San Antonio would be extremely difficult, but with the packages available it made it simple. Their preferred vendors helped with the search and they made me feel like planning a wedding was too easy. I even had my meal catered by Red River BBQ, which was exactly what I wanted. They really do live to help others with their dream day. The ability to get ready at the Rose Cottage is amazing, and it is extremely helpful to be able to have everyone come and help you get ready. Not to mention you can bring the necessities for mimosas into the cottage. It was a stress free day!I could not think Nancy enough for her help on the wedding day. Permanent stain lipstick got on my dress an hour before we were to leave for the church. She was a savior and scrubbed on my dress with oxy clean for 45 minutes to get it out. AMAZING!!!! I do not know what we would have done without her. She saved the day!

When my daughter and I began to look for a venue in the Galveston/Houston area, we initially were looking at other sites; my son and daughter-in-law had a wonderful wedding at Butler's Courtyard 4 years ago and my daughter felt a different location would help distinguish her wedding from theirs. However, as we looked, we kept comparing the other places to our earlier experience at Butler's. As we narrowed our choices and toured the sites with the groom, we instantly all knew that Butler's was definitely the right choice for their wedding. Every aspect of Butler's is exceptioinal. The atmosphere is warm and elegant. All areas are beautifully decorated and the landscaping is lovely. This is the only place we saw that has a cottage for the girls AND a place for the guys to spend the wedding day relaxing and getting ready. Janice and the staff are wonderful; we even had guests comment on how impressed they were with the staff. Their expertise and advice were invaluable throughout the planning. Their attention and oversight to all the details on the wedding day removed the stress and worry about achieving our version of the perfect day, allowing us to enjoy every special moment. Also their prices are competitive which made it easy to stay within our budget. We paid for the reception to go an extra hour, which I highly recommend; everyone was having too much fun dancing to leave after 4 hours! The caterer, Jula the cake baker, and the DJ that are included with the venue were also great and easy to work with. The food was delicious, the cake was beautiful and yummy, and the DJ's mix kept everyone on the dance floor. Their list of preferred vendors was very helpful for selecting a florist (we used Dream Bouquet-gorgeous flowers) and photographers (OMC Studios- they perfectly captured the beauty of the bride and the joy of the day). And my daughter's concern that her wedding would be seem like her brother's because of the same location was unfounded; hers was beautifully and uniquely her own.

My wedding was like a fairy tale. Thanks to Nancy and Janice. Everything was planned and prepared. Everyone was professional and pleasant making us comfortable. It was absolutely perfect. Butler's Courtyard gave us the most memorable, amazing wedding ever. The entire planning process and "production" was completely stress-free. Things I mentioned once became reality on my wedding day. My family and friends can't stop telling me what an amazing wedding we had. Butler's Courtyard was the only place that created an entire wedding day for the Bride & the Groom. We had our own houses to get ready and relax in before the ceremony. Every other venue I looked at offered a Bridal dressing room and a men's restroom or I had to get ready somewhere else and show up in a car. My other married friends wish they had used a full-service venue. I didn't have a million people coming to ask me qestions all day, I actually got to enjoy my wedding day. And I enjoyed it tremendously because of Butler's Courtyard.

When we began to plan our wedding, we were very nervous about a few things -- how much everything was going to cost, how we were going to pull everything together (not knowing much about event planning), and how to personalize our ceremony and reception. By a stroke of sheer luck, we found Butler's Courtyard and fell in love with the venue and the team there. Over the months of planning with Janice, all of our fears went away, as we realized that they weren't trying to price gouge us, they knew exactly how to pull everything together, and they welcomed our ideas and decisions to make everything suit us as a couple.I've heard absolute horror stories from brides about their wedding days, but I've got zero complaints about mine. It was absolutely perfect and drama free, and that has everything to do with our choice of location. Butler's Courtyard lets the bridal party spend the whole day onsite, getting ready and relaxing, and when it's time for the reception, you'll find that your guests feel at home and want to stay and hang out with you rather than rushing home.Can't say enough great things about Butler's Courtyard!

I just can't say enough about Butler's Courtyard. I am so happy that I chose to have my wedding there. If you want to have the wedding of your dreams and want to work with a very professional team. Then you definately want to book with Butlers.

My husband and I decided to get married over spring break and the whole thing was planned by June, leaving our last month before to wedding to be relatively stress free. Planning our wedding while working and going to school from across the state would have not been possible without the help of my mother and Nancy. Butler's Courtyard provided a great backdrop for the pictures that my husband and I will use to tell the story of our magical day to our children. They treated us like family and made it feel like we were at home through the whole experience. The cottage and the shop areas that were provided for us to prepare for the wedding in were unmatched by any of the other venues that we looked at. David, the DJ, was very professional and helpful in preparing the music for the ceremony and reception (even when one of the musicians cancelled the day of the ceremony). I recieved great feedback from my guests as well telling me that not only was I well taken care of, but my guests were too. The cake from cakes by Jula was beautiful and delicious. Jula was great about helping us to pick the flavors and design for our cake.

What a magical place! Butler's truly made all of my wedding dreams come true! Nancy, Janice and the entire Butler's team were so very wonderful to work with. They were helpful through every step of the wedding planning process and welcomed my many visits with open arms. By placing faith and trust in their professional hands, I was able to enjoy every moment of my wedding day. From the tour of the facility a year and a half before my wedding to running through bubbles to our limo, the time spent with/at Butler's is forever memorable. Thank you, Butler's Courtyard, for exceeding my expectations of capturing the perfection, charm and love I wished to feel on my special day!

Having my wedding at Butler's was like having it at the house I grew up in. Here they don't treat you like clients but like family. They work with you on every detail to make sure your day is everything you imagined and more. When it came time to decide where to hold the reception, there was no question and now after the fact, there is still no question I made the right/best decision. Thank you Nancy, Janice and the rest of the Butler's family for making our day absolutely magical!!

This place is something that you cannot describe. It is a beautiful place and what makes it better is you get the whole place all day. The boys get to hang out in their own house and the same with the girls. There are many amazing spots for pictures. They are a place that takes care of everything and you can just sit back and relax. My husband and I really enjoyed being there and the women there really care and really made it a dream come true. This is the only place you can go to and get a whole house instead of a small room with all your bridesmaids and bride and mothers. This place is definitely the dream location for you to relax and know that you can set everything aside and just relax and take in the things that happen on your wedding day.

I had the absolute best time with Nancy, Janice and Shawna. They saved me a lot of drama and stress. Even my husband says Janice was awesome!! BTW, I think they treat their clients BETTER then their own kids. They know why!!!! I love you girls!!!

This place is too awesome!It would be completely in possible to describe the day, the wedding, and the reception. It was busy, but soooo much fun! You get the entire facility to yourself, with the staff attending to you the whole day. The ladies took care of the events for the day, and I just had fun with my girls! It was like a movie the whole day. I really didn't believe it could be so good. -Thank God for the pictures to prove it!

As the mother of the bride, I was looking for a venue that would take care of everything that needed to be done without me having to stress out and do all of the work. When my daughter and I drove up to Butler's Courtyard, she immediately knew this was the place she wanted to get married at! The whole venue is gorgeous, and there is not a background for pictures that is not breathtaking! The staff is so helpful, and on the Big Day you couldn't ask for more professional, caring people. I highly recommend this venue to any family who wants to have their wedding somewhere that you feel like part of their family. It was an incredible experience, and our guests said they had never been to a more exquisite, fun and precious wedding. If you are looking for an exceptional place to make wonderful Wedding Day memories, look no further than Butler's Courtyard!

Best day of my life thanks to the amazing staff at Butler's. Not only were Nancy and Janice and their office staff so wonderful in planning and executing my wedding, but their service staff was so friendly and really treated me and my guests like royalty.

I am appauled at some of the comments below because you will be hard pressed to find a staff that comes close to the one at Butler's Courtyard! And especially for the price of what you get! Janice and Nancy went above and beyond to make my day special for me, even had several little surprises that I won't give away for other brides! The food was amazing, the cake was AWESOME and far exceeded my expectations (the baker made it off of a drawing Janice did for me!). I don't know who else has tons of spare time on their wedding day, but I appreciated everything they helped with. They took care of things that I had forgotten we even discussed weeks and months earlier! We were treated like royalty and I would highly recommend Butler's Courtyard to any bride who wants one of the most beautiful settings in Houston, outstanding service, a fair price, and run by other classy ladies! There was not one request overlooked, and those ladies really know how to throw a party for one busy bride! Thank you to everyone at Butler's! My guests didn't even talk about my dress, all they mentioned was how great of a location that was! And hint hint ladies....it is BEAUTIFUL at sunset and dark when the courtyard is lit up. Summer is too hot...do an evening wedding!

Butler's Courtyard was amazing. The ladies that run the Courtyard are angels in disguise and will work with your budget and timing and are very flexible. They allowed me to pick my own decorations if I wanted to or they also had their own if I wanted to use theirs. The wedding went extremely smoothly.

Butler's Courtyard is an excellent venue for your wedding. They will take care of everything, even the things you forgot.

Butler's Courtyard will take such good care of the bride! They make sure you are happy all the way through the planning process and cater to your every whim on the day of your wedding. You will feel like a queen!

We used a different venue other than Butlers Courtyard, however, we had staff of butlers courtyard help us plan and put on our wedding!! They came out the day of our wedding an even stayed for the ceremony and reception. We had our wedding in a church, but the suggestions that to me seemed like the tiniest details made all the difference!! From the lighting, to the cake placement, to where it would look best all to stand, even to the giving of the rings and the most important KISS!! We did not have to worry about one minor detail becuase the people at Butlers Courtyard really knew what weddings are all about and helped us make it a really special day for everyone!
