Divisi Strings

Very satisfied couple! I'm from a family with lots of classical musicians and I was pretty particular with the quality of our string quartet. Toni was great to work with and accommodated all my requests for selections. The musicians were very talented and sounded great in my opinion. They hit all of their cues and went along really nicely with our ceremony program. Big thanks to Divisi for a wonderful performance!

Divisi Strings played such beautiful music at our ceremony! They did exactly what we asked (part of which was starting in the middle of a song). They were very helpful on the phone and easy to work with. We got a lot of compliments on our string duo!

We hired a Spanish guitarist through Divisi Strings to play during our cocktail hour and ceremony. The man who played was very professional and talented, and everyone enjoyed his music very much! He was willing to play some music that I had requested and accompanied a vocalist friend of mine. It was a wonderful background to the wedding!

Divisi Strings did a wonderful job of setting the mood before the ceremony and we enjoyed a more upbeat mood during the reception. They played beautifully.

I was very glad to have Divisi Strings at my wedding since their music is so unique and beautiful. Unfortunately since our ceremony venue was outside, their music got drowned out by general outside park noise and the wind. But right after the ceremony they moved into the reception area and played for the cocktail hour and some of the reception. Everyone was blown away at how beautiful they sounded. I would definitely recommend Divisi Strings, but not necessarily for an outside space.

Divisi Strings was a nice touch to our ceremony. Having them plan prior to the wedding helped remind guests a ceremony was to begin soon and they needed to take their seats. The music was lovely. We had an outdoor wedding in a small space and the sound level was perfect. I was going to go with a four piece but they were the ones to tell me that a three piece was sufficient in our space. This information saved us money. My only regret is that as Bride and Groom we did not get to enjoy the pre ceremony music.

I hired a Divisi duo for our ceremony music and cocktail hour. They were wonderful! I had no problems... they arrived plenty ahead of time, played the music we requested, and everyone thought they sounded great!

(I left a review earlier, butthen discovered that my daughter's wedding date was WAY messed up - wanted the readers to know that this is a very recent review-her wedding was 02/19/2011). So, once again: Divisi Strings did an amazing job at my daughter's wedding. They were easy to work with before the wedding, showed up on time, and were a delight to work with. They have a vast array of music to choose from and are extremely professtional - they know their job and they also dress appropriately. Just a great addition to the wedding ceremony without breaking the wedding budget. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Divisi Strings is fantastic! They are so knowledgable about their music, not to mention they sounded great! I think they're a little more expensive than you might find elsewhere, but definitely worth it to be able to work with a company that is hastle free. I had a singer who they accompanied and they were very flexible in working with her as well. I say, book em now!

When I first saw Divisi strings at the bridal extravaganza I was impressed by how beautifully they played. I asked them to play the Ave Maria, because since I was a little girl I have always wanted to walk down the aisle to that song. I had listened to different string quartets play this and I just hadn't found the one. When Divisi played the Ave Maria, it was so beautiful and moved me so much that I was brought to tears. Then and there I knew that I just had to have Divisi strings play at our wedding.As a bride you get to work with many different vendors and Divisi was one of the most professional vendors that I had the pleasure to work with. Shelli, the president was prompt in our correspondence and always ready to answer any of my questions. We met with Tony, the other owner and he was kind enough to meet with us at a later time because of my work schedule. Tony was patient and listened to all of my ideas and had great ideas to share with us. We had a string trio for the ceremony and a pianist for cocktail hour and dinner. The guests all had wonderful things to say about the music. The musicians were great and the accommodated our requests. Our pianist was wonderful.. I love disney songs, broadway and elton John and she played a lot of my requests. We had a great experience with Divisi strings and would not only use them again but would recommend them without any hesitation. Divisi Strings were really professional. Honestly though, I didn't get to hear much of the ceremony music so I might update this after I watch our wedding video. But besides that, they were great to work with. They have a large repertoire. They played "Clocks" by Coldplay for my recessional! I would definitely recommend them.

Great job, provided ceremony and contemporary cocktail hour music...AMP'd lived up to their name!

If you are looking for a high maintenance addition to your wedding, I would book Divisi Strings. They were great while they were booking us and taking our money, but after we met with them and reviewed things we had already discussed in a contract they signed their tune changed. I plan events for a living and have never been so disgusted with a vendor's unprofessionalism. Plus, when they got to our wedding their high maintenance continued by not sitting where we needed them for photos. So we paid a ton of money and nobody could hear or see them. What a horrible vendor. NEVER use Divisi Strings!!!

I hired Divisi Strings' Amp'd Quartet for my wedding ceremony and reception. They were absolutely fantastic! I didn't want a DJ at my wedding. I wanted something classier and more personal. I knew I wanted live music, and I was excited when I heard Divisi at a wedding show. They were great to work with, they were extremely professional, and they played a great selection of music. All of my guests without exception complimented our choice of music - everyone was beyond impressed with Divisi Strings. They were one of the highlights of my wedding and I am so glad I hired them!

This company was very professional with the best musicians in HOuston. The process is easy for picking music and meeting to discuss day of details. The company crosses all their T's and keeps in touch so the bride does not have to worry about all the last minute dtails and payments, etc. Everyone at the church ceremony complimented on the music and reported that the wedding was very elegant and classy- the music flawless. Competitive price for this service as well.

Divisi strings were AMAZING!!! I only met with them once but that was all I needed to know that they were perfect for my wedding. They were very easy to get in touch with, gave great recommendations when needed and sounded beautiful when I heard them play. They weren't overly pricey like some other musicians that I got in touch with. I am so glad that I was able to have Divisi Strings perform at my wedding, they were perfect!

I hate to be redundant with the other reviewers, but Divisi Strings is fabulous. The musicians were ready and professional and talented and added so much to our ceremony and reception. From the initial contact to the last note played at the reception, it was "harmonious." These folks are responsive, professional and flexible. Hire Divisi Strings -- it'll be one less thing you have to worry about in planning your big day. Reliable, professional, talented, easy to work with -- I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.
